The GUNI #AHEAD model is available for students enrolling in both the Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch.) as well the Bachelor of Design (B.Design.) programs currently offered at Ganpat University.

The GUNI #AHEAD model is available for students enrolling in both the Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch.) as well the Bachelor of Design (B.Design.) programs currently offered at Ganpat University.

A student must fulfill the following criteria to qualify for 100% Tuition Fee earning within a given semester of study:

  • At least 80% attendance for regular classes and coursework throughout the semester. If a student does not fulfill this criterion, they shall be ineligible for earning back their fees.
  • At least 90% attendance for the designated consultancy work hours in a given semester. A student should be able to engage for 9 hours per week in the Consultancy Projects and may work for a maximum of 135 hours in a semester for the same.
  • At least 90% of the required outputs must be delivered by the students towards the designated consultancy work throughout the semester.

A weighted average of percentage attendance for consultancy as well as the percentage output delivered by the student shall be considered towards the factorized earnings of tuition and accommodation fees for a given semester. To understand the detailed calculations for the Fee Earnings, download the PDF file here.

The Tuition and Accommodation fees must be paid by the student at the beginning of a semester, and must then be earned back as per the earning formula detailed in FAQ No. 3 above.

The Consultancy Projects shall be provided by Ganpat University to the Faculty of Architecture, Design & Planning (FADP) Design Consultancy Cell, which shall be then distributed amongst the students as per their learning and skill levels by the faculty members involved in the Consultancy Cell.

As long as a student is enrolled within the GUNI #AHEAD model i.e., the entire duration of their studies, they shall be receiving Consultancy Projects’ work.

If a student leaves their studies before completion of the academic program, then they shall no longer be eligible for the #AHEAD program and shall not be able to earn any further fees back.

However, if a student takes a break from their studies for a semester or more for any medical issues or similarly extenuating circumstances of self or family, then they can continue their studies in the same model once they re-join the institute as per Ganpat University regulations. In such cases, the decision of Ganpat University shall be binding for both the student and the institute.

No, since the Consultancy-based work engagement shall only begin after the completion of the regular teaching hours of the day. Furthermore, a student shall only work for a maximum of three (3) hours per day towards Consultancy Projects. It should also be understood that this process is an extension of a student’s learning beyond conventional education systems.

While earning is an important aspect of this model, the main benefits are as follows:

  • There shall be constant enhancement of the students’ skills through their involvement in real-life projects, effectively making them stronger practitioners, consultants, project managers, highly organized team players, as well as entrepreneurs.
  • Students enrolled in the GUNI #AHEAD model shall inevitably have stronger resumes and completed projects in their names even before they graduate, thus making them highly employable assets for all recruiters and Architecture & Design Firms and Organizations.
  • Students shall receive certificates of completion for the projects they are a part of, given that they deliver the required output. This shall be immensely helpful towards further building their professional standing in the fields of Architecture and Design at large.
  • Since students shall be involved in various design and infrastructure projects of the Ganpat University campus, they shall have a direct impact on their surroundings, and this shall be thusly considered their input towards the architectural growth of the University as a whole.
  • As Ganpat University promotes inter-, multi-, trans-, and cross-disciplinary initiatives and learning, students can receive add-on certifications and micro-credentials in areas of study apart from their majors, which again directly contributes to their professional standing while effectively diversifying their growth in more than one area of expertise.
  • With such skillsets that are oriented toward real-life work and practical outputs, students can start their own Architecture & Design practices immediately upon graduation.
  • Even after their graduation, students can continue to be part of Ganpat University by contributing to these projects as external consultants, as well as associating with the FADP Consultancy Cell for such projects for stronger outputs.
  • If a student opts to stay in an AC hostel, they shall have to bear their own accommodation expenses as per Ganpat University regulations.
  • All students will have to bear their own food expenses as per Ganpat University regulations.
  • Since the study of Architecture & Design involves a lot of digitally generated work, students shall have to procure their own PCs or laptops.
  • Students shall have to bear their own material expenses for their regular studies i.e., stationery costs, transportation, model-making, printing, and other similar academic requirements.
  • Students shall have to bear the expenses of the Related Study Programs (RSPs) that are offered every year as part of their graduation requirements. A student must complete a minimum of three (3) RSPs in their entire duration of study to be able to graduate.
  • Students shall have to bear the expenses of the International Study Programs as well as Summer Programs.
  • Students shall have to bear all other fees as per Ganpat University regulations.

Enrolment in the GUNI #AHEAD model shall purely be on a merit basis.

  • For the B.Arch. program, a maximum of 30 students can be enrolled within this model. The merit shall be considered based on the students’ NATA scores.
  • For the B.Design. program, a maximum of 40 students can be enrolled within this model. The merit shall be generated as a weighted average of GUNI-DAT scores as well as the candidates’ performance in the Personal Interview.
